One of our recent catering events was a beautiful beach wedding at Mayo Beach Park in Edgewater, Maryland. The wedding, between Laura LeFavor and Brendan Masiar, took place on July 7, 2017. The Lovely Couple
Brendan and Laura first met in college at The University of Maryland, Baltimore County. A few years later, Brendan got down on one knee to propose, and soon the wedding planning began! While they didn’t have all the particulars figured out, Laura has always wanted a beach wedding.
Besides the beautiful ceremony, Brendan and Laura said the day was even more special. That is because friends from Brendan’s hometown in Long Island were able to come to celebrate their wedding day. They appreciated that their friends made the trip down. As well as other out-of-town guests that helped them celebrate this special day.
According to the happy couple, the wedding planning and ceremony went off without a hitch. Their best advice for future couples planning a wedding is the sooner the better. What do they mean? Check off everything on your to-do list as soon as possible, don’t wait. This is especially important for booking services like the photographer, music, and catering early on. Further, saving anything until the last minute will only lead to unnecessary stress and frustration. Wedding planning shouldn’t distract you from the joy of your special day!

The Ceremony and Reception
The venue was Mayo Beach Park, located in Edgewater, MD. It provided the perfect backdrop for an elegant and tasteful ceremony. The beach sits at the end of the South River and the Chesapeake Bay. The rustic and environmentally sensitive park is available for weddings, receptions, cultural exhibits, company picnics, and family reunions.
